Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Effective people skills, building trust and removing obstacles, etc.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Company minded/positive behavior/Team player.
Manufacturing and warehouse knowledge.
Decision-making ability.
Personal Computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

Direct assigned hourly team members in assigned areas of the site necessary to the manufacture, package and shipment of fasteners.
Responsible for compliance to safety policies & procedures, quality products, production and housekeeping standards.
Focus upon lean manufacturing, process improvement, and team building.
Ensures safe and healthy working conditions and instituting measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards and compliance with company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
Maintains good departmental safety consistent with the site goals and objectives.
Maintains continuing emphasis on good housekeeping.
Organizes and proactively manage their team to ensure meeting production and delivery expectations while maximizing available labor, skills, knowledge, experience and capabilities.
Continued focus upon team cross training and skill diversity.
Accept, update and follow through on assigned projects in a timely manner.
Evaluate manufacturing, sorting, packaging and shipping related problems and take corrective action as needed.
Develop and drive cost savings utilizing continuous improvement & lean methodologies.
Apply through areas assigned by learning, applying, and teaching.
Ensure team member compliance to all operations procedures and documented processes and address non-conformities.
Adequately and equitably administers human resource policies, procedures, and disciplinary administration in a non-union environment.
Knowledgeable of the equipment and operations under this person's area of responsibility.
Knowledge in IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
Assist in writing, reviewing, updating and training of all related procedures to meet IATF16949 guidelines.
Maintains good working relationships with other department managers, company employees, customers, suppliers and the community in general in promoting and enhancing the company’s image and reputation.
