Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Effective people skills, building trust and removing obstacles, etc.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Company minded/positive behavior/Team player.
  • Manufacturing and warehouse knowledge.
  • Decision-making ability.
  • Personal Computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Direct assigned hourly team members in assigned areas of the site necessary to the manufacture, package and shipment of fasteners.
  • Responsible for compliance to safety policies & procedures, quality products, production and housekeeping standards.
  • Focus upon lean manufacturing, process improvement, and team building.
  • Ensures safe and healthy working conditions and instituting measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards and compliance with company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintains good departmental safety consistent with the site goals and objectives.
  • Maintains continuing emphasis on good housekeeping.
  • Organizes and proactively manage their team to ensure meeting production and delivery expectations while maximizing available labor, skills, knowledge, experience and capabilities.
  • Continued focus upon team cross training and skill diversity.
  • Accept, update and follow through on assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate manufacturing, sorting, packaging and shipping related problems and take corrective action as needed.
  • Develop and drive cost savings utilizing continuous improvement & lean methodologies.
  • Apply through areas assigned by learning, applying, and teaching.
  • Ensure team member compliance to all operations procedures and documented processes and address non-conformities.
  • Adequately and equitably administers human resource policies, procedures, and disciplinary administration in a non-union environment.
  • Knowledgeable of the equipment and operations under this person's area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge in IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
  • Assist in writing, reviewing, updating and training of all related procedures to meet IATF16949 guidelines.
  • Maintains good working relationships with other department managers, company employees, customers, suppliers and the community in general in promoting and enhancing the company’s image and reputation.
