About The Position

Manages the day-to-day operations of water and/or wastewater plant(s) in accordance with Company policies and procedures and all applicable governmental laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of regulated water/wastewater operations and applicable regulations.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and management practices.
  • Expert knowledge of operational processes.
  • 3–5 years supervising operational areas and managing performance targets.
  • 2 or 4 year degree in operational discipline, management, or related technical discipline or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and controlling local construction, operations, and maintenance within established budget limitations.
  • Establish a program that will ensure all EPA Partnership for Safe Water goals are met on a period-by-period basis.
  • Ensure local water and/or wastewater operations meet required standards and regulatory compliance targets.
  • Supervise the implementation of standards, targets, policies, and plans to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure operational integrity including quality, safety, reliability, health, and environmental compliance.
  • Develop and direct cost-effective solutions to meet customer and technical requirements and encourage innovation.
  • Implement effective reporting processes and provide analysis to the Production Director for reports, budgets, and business plans.
  • Provide coaching, development, and leadership to employees.
  • Reinforce workforce diversity and inclusive practices.
  • Support Business Development in operational analysis, pricing, and integration for water and wastewater opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively across regulated and non-regulated markets to mitigate business risk.
  • Implement effective communication across all operational levels.
  • Provide leadership adaptable to changing business environments.
  • Promote open, constructive communication and knowledge sharing.
