This role directs single-site, multi-shift manufacturing operations, working with supervisors, lead positions, and the shop scheduler to drive improvements in manpower, efficiencies, materials, and machines to meet customer demands and enhance profitability. The position also involves mentoring apprentices, operators, machinists, and lead employees, and can ultimately be responsible for over 20 employees. On the machining side, the role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate parts, working with Engineering on new part startups, and ensuring equipment maintenance and personnel training for high-quality part fabrication.
