Operations Supervisor I
About The Position
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor oversees all facets of warehouse operations, including receiving, pick and pack, order verification, shipping, returns, and staffing. The role involves strategic planning and approval processes to support efficient workflow and productivity. The supervisor communicates job expectations, monitors performance, and provides coaching and guidance to support employee development. The position also enforces company policies and procedures, ensures compliance, and addresses issues through appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining operational excellence and team performance, improving productivity, quality, and profitability, and coordinating logistics and warehouse schedules. The role is primarily based in a warehouse setting that may involve varying temperatures and noise levels.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration among team members.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations to all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing and implementing effective processes.
- Ability to teach, coach, and motivate others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong mental acuity and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations and improve practices to increase productivity, quality, and profitability.
- Participate in strategic planning to align operational goals with business objectives.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve operational challenges to maintain seamless workflow.
- Manage inbound and outbound transportation to optimize logistics efficiency.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures across departments.
- Lead safety training initiatives and establish guidelines for a safe working environment.
- Coordinate warehouse schedules and operations with the Operations Manager.
- Supervise warehouse personnel and activities to ensure compliance with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assess employee performance and recommend promotions and merit increases based on evaluations.
- Communicate job expectations, monitor employee performance, and provide coaching and guidance.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, addressing issues through appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations and business objectives.
