About The Position

Supervises and coordinates activities of journeymen and apprentice Electricians engaged in construction, installation, and testing of electrical components installed in modular buildings. Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and panel boards. Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Confers with other staff to coordinate activities of individual departments. Sets up machines and equipment. Performs activities of workers supervised. Performs quality control testing of product buildings for compliance to intended operations performance, corrects installation defects and provides process follow-up documentation. Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience or training in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license required with strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems through gathering and analyzing of information. Strong analytical
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, properly planning, developing and delegating team members.
  • Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands including working within a manufacturing environment, occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Frequently standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of leadership experience is preferred.
