About The Position

Ensure policies, procedures and all activities are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives at the Hot Strip Mill on their respective crew assignments.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and conflict management skills
• Good insight to team dynamics and a positive problem solver
• Ability to demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times and hold employees accountable for the same
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 year experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Hot Mill experience required

• college degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs and “where applicable” ResponsibleSteel requirements; follow BRS directives and comply with regulatory requirements within scope of responsibility.
• Ensure all jobs are covered with documented trained personnel on their assigned crew.
• Facilitate effective communication between their entire crew.
• Coordinate with their respective crews on scheduling and operating practice improvements.
• Support other departments as needed to strengthen BRS profitability and continual improvement efforts.
