About The Position

The Operations Specialist – Materials & Inventory Control is a hybrid operations and analytical role responsible for ensuring the right materials are available, accurately accounted for, and staged at the right time to support the production schedule. The role is split between hands-on activity in the warehouse and production environment and analytical work at a desk. The specialist spends time on the floor understanding material flow, verifying inventory, coordinating staging, working with Production and Warehouse personnel, and identifying potential issues before they affect the schedule. The role also uses ERP/MRP data, production schedules, inventory reports, usage history, and other operational information to analyze issues and develop solutions. The position is a link between Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Warehouse, and Production. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating material requirements against the production schedule, staging materials for upcoming production, maintaining inventory accuracy, analyzing material requirements, and communicating potential shortages or replenishment needs. The position reports directly to the Director of Operations and works closely with the Supply Chain Manager.
