About The Position

At WM, the Operations Specialist for Collections provides advanced clerical and administrative support to departmental Managers and assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues, maintaining and distributing department-related information daily, communicating with other supervisors and managers about operational issues, and managing KRONOS for daily updates for drivers and helpers. The Operations Specialist will utilize Microsoft Suite and other software tools for tasks such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor. They will also assist with payment processing, support operational projects, communicate with customers regarding service issues, and inform employees about scheduling and work assignments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
  • Maintains and distributes department related information on a daily basis.
  • Communicates with other supervisors and managers about operational issues.
  • Maintains the office and is the proxy for KRONOS for all daily updates for drivers and helpers.
  • Uses Microsoft Suite and additional software tools to manage a variety of daily tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
  • Assists with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary.
  • Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
  • Communicates with customers about service issues as needed.
  • Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed.
