About The Position

S&P Global Energy (SPGE) offers cross-commodity industry fundamentals training to energy majors and leading chemical producers globally, with an expanding training catalogue including Oil, LNG, Power, and Energy Expansion Industry Fundamentals delivered by in-house experts worldwide. As the Operations Specialist, you will lead the logistics and operational execution of these training courses, ensuring seamless delivery at S&P Global offices (Houston, London, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur) and client sites. This role is pivotal in customer service, supporting the delivery of high-quality training. It is a critical position driving the operational excellence of the global training portfolio, ensuring every course meets the highest standards, working closely with subject matter experts, and supporting the professional development of industry leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proven experience in events logistics, preferably within training, events, or conferences.
  • Experience with managing deadlines and high-level stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, global environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint, Cvent Concur or other project management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the logistics and operational execution of training courses, ensuring seamless delivery at S&P Global offices and client sites.
  • Play a pivotal role in customer service, supporting the delivery of high-quality training courses.
  • Collaborate with leading subject matter experts across S&P Global Energy.
  • Lead high-impact projects and contribute to the growth of the global training business.
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics and operations for all training courses, both in-house and at client locations worldwide.
  • Facilitate the delivery of multiple training courses in Houston as well as virtual support across the globe.
  • Coordinate the production of training materials and delivery of client-facing training materials.
  • Manage post-training follow-up to assess satisfaction and identify further training needs.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Manage Cvent Registration System, including attendee list management, reporting, badging and attendee email communications.
