Operations Specialist I

Carrum Health,
$24 - $25Remote

About The Position

The Operations Specialist is an essential driver of our daily delivery. In this "Developing" role, you handle a variety of factors to resolve problems of moderate scope. You are moving beyond strictly following a manual; instead, you exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine the best course of action. You are responsible for identifying inefficiencies, optimizing systems, and implementing solutions that enhance scalability. You will act as a bridge between Patient Care, Clinical Operations, Tech, and Data Analytics. You operate under firm direction but are expected to manage your own workflow and anticipate delays before they become blockers.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience and are eager to build your core skills in a fast-paced health-tech environment.
  • Recognize when you are stuck and seek input to get unstuck. You listen actively, ask clarifying questions, and treat every day as an opportunity to grow.
  • A track record of executing tasks with high attention to detail and flagging concerns immediately if something seems off.
  • Treat every patient and teammate with patience, kindness, and respect. You have a "patient-first" mentality and a knack for troubleshooting.
  • Stay positive when things change and are comfortable improving live processes while maintaining a high level of discretion with confidential information.
  • Committed to following documented policies and adhering strictly to HIPAA requirements.
  • Comfortable interacting through a variety of tech platforms and can quickly learn new software.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily tasks accurately and on time with clear direction, following documented processes carefully to support the end-to-end patient journey.
  • Collaborate across teams (Care, Tech, Analytics, Provider Ops, Finance) to refine the workflows and tools that directly support the patient experience.
  • Assist in managing patient travel needs and intricate coordination efforts, ensuring no detail is overlooked in a patient's care journey.
  • Continuously evaluate where procedures can be updated and identify opportunities to eliminate "tedious tasks" through smarter team policies.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in product development by testing patient-facing and internal tools, providing critical feedback to the Tech team prior to release.
  • Support reporting and information management by collecting and cleaning data, ensuring the Care and Operations teams have accurate insights to drive decisions.
  • Contribute fresh ideas and insights that lead to more efficient internal systems and better outcomes for our patients.
