About The Position

The Financial Operations Specialist supports the financial management of the region and reports directly to the Director of Operations. This role is responsible for compiling and reporting on revenue and expense projects, ensuring adherence to established financial and operational processes, and coordinating deal and commission management activities. The Specialist plays a key role in maintaining process consistency, supporting compliance, and contributing to efficient financial operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in compiling and reporting on revenue and expense projects.
  • Ability to ensure adherence to financial and operational processes.
  • Experience in coordinating deal and commission management activities.
  • Skills in maintaining process consistency and supporting compliance.
  • Experience with dunning, check processing, billing, monitoring, and journal entry submissions.
  • Ability to investigate variances to budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Experience in establishing and documenting accounting processes.
  • Ability to respond to data and reporting requests from leadership, finance, and accounting.
  • Experience managing client fee share account requests.
  • Ability to confirm wire/ACH instructions and initiate refunds.
  • Experience reviewing revenue vs. forecast at month-end and following up on unbooked deals.
  • Liaising with teams on deal progress.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, collections, reconciliations, and expense coding.
  • Track contract asset due dates, coordinate with brokers and the Deal Desk, and process write-offs as needed.
  • Support dunning, check processing, DFC billing, OTT monitoring, and journal entry submissions.
  • Compile and forecast revenue and expense projects; review pipeline reports with operations teams to improve accuracy.
  • Partner with revenue accountants on deal and commission management activities.
  • Perform fee share reconciliations and ensure accurate broker contract splits, BDAs, and draws.
  • Investigate variances to budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements.
  • Establish and document consistent accounting processes to support long-term operational efficiency.
  • Respond to data and reporting requests from leadership, finance, and accounting.
  • Manage client fee share account requests and submit to accounting for processing.
  • Confirm wire/ACH instructions and initiate refunds as required.
  • Review revenue vs. forecast at month-end, follow up on unbooked deals, and liaise with teams on deal progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
