About The Position

Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm. Parametric, part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, partners with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios. This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, involving 3 days in the office per week. The Client Relations Group (CRG) at Parametric builds client relationships by collaborating with sales teams and internal partners to deliver exceptional client service. CRG includes Client Service, Client Experience, Contract Management, and Client Operations teams. The Operations Senior Associate will be a primary contact for client accounts and an escalation point for team members, ensuring high client satisfaction and a seamless experience. This role also involves driving process enhancements, training employees, and assisting with escalations and error resolution.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree, preferably in related discipline such as economics, finance, marketing, or hospitality; work experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • 5+ years proven experience working with financial services advisors / money managers.
  • Relationship-building skills and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Keen interest in and understanding of investment products and financial instruments such as equities and fixed income.
  • Established communication skills - both internally/externally in written/oral/auditory essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and the ability to learn additional internal/ external software programs.
  • Resourcefulness, problem solving, and organization (ability to prioritize effectively)
  • Willingness to work in fast-paced environment with hourly deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Flexible, willing, and able to work long hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Introductory experience with registered investment advisors (RIAs), the Family Office community, separate accounts, unified managed accounts (UMAs), tax-efficient products, and/or indexes a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an escalation contact within the team, understanding the nuances of the trade error and ERIS processes.
  • Facilitate training with new and existing team members, as well as act as a mentor to help coach and manage individuals informally.
  • Assist with the creation of new processes and procedures as well as the implementation within the team.
  • Help mitigate risk by having a deep understanding of the team’s control environment and assist in the review of these reports as required.
  • Support the maintenance of existing client accounts.
  • Assist/help lead team projects and initiatives.
  • Establish mastery of internal systems to respond to client requests – asset values, status updates, tax efficiency, account performance, etc.
  • Support the coordination of responses to client requests by liaising with internal teams, and utilizing internal resources for information, paperwork, transition analyses, etc.
  • Establish working relationships with Distribution and other internal teams on existing client relationships.
  • Establish working relationships with external contacts for new accounts and activity for existing clients.
  • Gain proficiency and understanding of the channel guides and team policies and procedures in order to mitigate risk.
  • Assist with coverage when team members are out and cross-train to ensure coverage.
  • Help create and maintain channel guides as well.
  • Help facilitate the day to day operations of the team including, new account requests, account asset movements and closures, analyses requests etc.
