About The Position

The Operations Scientist - I will be responsible for conducting bioanalytical sample preparations, documenting work, and maintaining study documentation and laboratory records. This role involves daily/weekly communication with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisors regarding projects. The scientist will also be responsible for ordering consumables, planning and scheduling assigned workload, and providing detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to ensure projects meet timelines. Additionally, the role includes setting up, operating, and performing routine maintenance on general equipment, attending project meetings, supporting process improvement initiatives, maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment, and participating in client visits as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 2 years or more of laboratory experience
• Experience using laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges)
• Experience with analytical instrumentation (for gas, liquids or solids)
• Experience working multiple projects in various stages at the same time
• Ability to handle a fast paced environment
• Organized and detailed communication
• Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Experience working in a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology projects

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry, biology
• 2 years or more experience working in a laboratory setting (e.g. balances, pipettes, centrifuges etc.)
• GLP Documentation experience
• Computer Experience (e.g., Word, Excel) or LIMS

Responsibilities

• Conduct bioanalytical sample preparations
• Document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
• Communicate with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisor on projects daily/weekly
• Order consumables for projects as needed
• Plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.
• Provide detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to project managers and lead scientists to ensure projects meet agreed upon timelines
• Set up, operate and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment
• Attend and participate in project meetings
• Support process improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment
• Participate in client visits as needed
