About The Position

The Operations Scientist I - LCMS, BioA will be responsible for conducting bioanalytical sample preparations, documenting work, and maintaining study documentation and laboratory records. This role involves daily communication with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisors regarding project status, ordering consumables, and planning workload. The scientist will provide detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to ensure projects meet timelines, and will set up, operate, and maintain general laboratory equipment. Additionally, the role includes attending project meetings, supporting process improvement initiatives, maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment, and participating in client visits as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology
  • 2 years or more of laboratory experience
  • Experience using laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years or more experience working in a laboratory setting (e.g. balances, pipettes, centrifuges etc.)
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation gas, liquids or solids
  • GLP Documentation experience
  • Computer Experience (e.g., Word, Excel) or LIMS
  • Work multiple projects in various stages at the same time
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment
  • Organized and detailed communication
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working in a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology projects

Responsibilities

  • Conduct bioanalytical sample preparations
  • Document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records
  • Communicate with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisor on projects daily/weekly
  • Order consumables for projects as needed
  • Plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments
  • Provide detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to project managers and lead scientists to ensure projects meet agreed upon timelines
  • Set up, operate and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment
  • Participate in client visits as needed
