About The Position

This role involves conducting bioanalytical sample preparations, documenting work, and maintaining study documentation and laboratory records. The Operations Scientist will communicate with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisors on projects daily/weekly, order consumables, and plan assigned workload effectively. They will provide detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to ensure projects meet timelines, set up and maintain general laboratory equipment, attend project meetings, support process improvement initiatives, and maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment. Participation in client visits may also be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology
  • 2 years or more of laboratory experience
  • Experience using laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges)
  • Work multiple projects in various stages at the same time
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment
  • Organized and detailed communication
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working in a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology projects

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years or more experience working in a laboratory setting (e.g. balances, pipettes, centrifuges etc.)
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation gas, liquids or solids
  • GLP Documentation experience
  • Computer Experience (e.g., Word, Excel) or LIMS

Responsibilities

  • Conduct bioanalytical sample preparations
  • Document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records
  • Communicate with project managers, lead scientists, and supervisor on projects daily/weekly
  • Order consumables for projects as needed
  • Plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments
  • Provide detailed sample analysis and inventory updates to project managers and lead scientists to ensure projects meet agreed upon timelines
  • Set up, operate and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment
  • Participate in client visits as needed
