The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team that implements Department policy, conducts grant management; and performs programmatic, technical, and regulatory responsibilities. This position will collaborate with technical professionals and a variety of public stakeholders to implement Chapter 373, Florida Statutes, and the Department’s Water Resource Implementation Rule, including the development of measures for assessing performance, and developing annual reports. This position will track, review, and evaluate the implementation of statewide water management issues, in coordination with the Water Management Districts (Districts). Additionally, the position will assist in execution of the Department’s oversight activities, including the preparation of reports, and tracking emerging water policy issues. These positions report to the Environmental Administrator of the Budget and Administration Section and do not hold any supervisory responsibility. The incumbent will be required to work 40-hour work weeks, Monday through Friday, and be present for work between the core hours of 9AM – 3PM on site at your workstation. In carrying out the duties of this position, the incumbent is expected at all times to be aware of and abide by the Department’s Standards of Conduct, as well as any and all departmental and/or work unit rules, directives, policies, procedures, and/or general orders applicable to performing the duties of this position. Compliance with the processing requirements of Chapter 215.422, F.S. is mandatory. Persistent failure to comply with this section by any agency of the state shall constitute good cause for discharge of employees duly found responsible, or predominantly responsible, for failure to comply.
