About The Position

This role involves connecting the dots, digging into systems, and understanding how they work, their effectiveness, and their interactions with other components. The analyst will apply knowledge of numbers to analytical challenges, come up with sensible answers, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences using charts, graphs, and other graphics. The focus is on analyzing utility and cost-effectiveness rather than just the "cool" factor of new systems, using statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, or other methods to aid decision-makers.

Requirements

  • BA or BS undergraduate degree in math, physics, or engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years’ verifiable experience supporting DoW programs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) to model systems and systems of systems
  • Proficiency in applying modeling & simulation techniques to support the decision-making process
  • US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires a US government security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Dayton-based customers leveraging MS&A tools (e.g., AFSIM) to inform decision makers
  • Advanced degree in math, physics, or engineering
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Secret level clearance

Responsibilities

  • Use sophisticated computer software to analyze and solve problems.
  • Utilize statistical software to simulate current and future events and evaluate alternative courses of action.
  • Collaborate with experts across fields to understand how individual components fit into the bigger picture.
  • Break down problems into their various parts and analyze the effect of different changes and circumstances on each part.
