Bestica is hiring an Operations Research Analyst to provide their services at Wright Patterson Air Force Base located in Dayton, OH. The analyst will provide subject matter expertise to the USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/FE), Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division (FES), Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Support Branch (FESS) Operational Consult team. This team responds to complex operational questions, provides operational expertise for active surveillance, maintains and expands relevant data repositories, and assists with studies and analysis requirements, including technical consultation, data analytics, and data management. USAFSAM/FESS is responsible for the studies and analysis infrastructure and project execution, including project management, funding and timeline tracking, acquisition/contracting support, advice on research/study experimental design, data analytics, operational issues, protocol submissions for IRBs and IACUCs, consultation in epidemiological practices, and assistance with writing and editing manuscripts, reports, and research articles. This role requires expertise within the FESS branch to assist USAFSAM with studies and analyses project consultation, and to provide reach-back, expert consultation, and assistance to MAJCOM Aerospace Medicine teams and/or base-level safety officers, flight surgeons, and physiologists investigating physiologic events and other human factors issues.
