About The Position

The Operations Research Analyst supports a federal client through advanced research and analysis of complex datasets. The role integrates open-source, publicly available, commercially available, geospatial, and other multidisciplinary information to identify patterns, relationships, and information gaps and to produce timely analytic products that support mission and operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while researching multifaceted problem sets in a dynamic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in research, data fusion, and analysis of multidisciplinary datasets.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, including collection, synthesis, and visualization of content for complex deliverables in multiple formats.
  • Knowledge of internet-based research methods, including Boolean logic, search engines, databases, publicly available internet sources, and commercial or industry-based data resources.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, technical, and communication skills with the ability to present findings in written, graphic, briefing, or other client-directed formats.
  • Proficiency in geospatial analysis, including advanced analytic functions and creation of publishable cartographic products.
  • Experience with relevant analytic and geospatial tools such as Analyst's Notebook, ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap, Tableau, Google Earth, or comparable platforms.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience supporting complex federal, defense, law-enforcement, special operations, or comparable mission environments.
  • Knowledge of structured analytic or targeting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of multiple intelligence or information disciplines, including OSINT and related analytic sources.
  • Experience with Publicly Available Information (PAI) and Commercially Available Information (CAI).
  • Experience with cyber analytics.
  • Computer science experience with an emphasis on statistical analysis, automation, or data mining.

Responsibilities

  • Transform complex public, commercial, geospatial, and client-provided information into clear analytic products that support client mission decisions.
  • Develop defensible findings by examining patterns, relationships, data gaps, and operationally relevant trends across multiple information sources.
  • Build tailored research and analytic approaches based on client requirements, available data, mission priorities, and reporting timelines.
  • Use structured quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate large or varied datasets and communicate conclusions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare written products, briefings, visualizations, maps, and other decision-support materials that clearly explain analytic judgments and supporting evidence.
  • Apply geospatial, network, and data-fusion techniques to help clients understand relationships, locations, activities, and emerging areas of concern.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant open-source, publicly available, commercial, and industry data resources that may strengthen analytic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members and client stakeholders to refine requirements, validate assumptions, and improve the usefulness of final deliverables.
