About The Position

We are STS Systems Defense, LLC a consulting and contracting firm specializing in technical solutions servicing several federal agencies and military installations across the nation. We are seeking a Operations Research Analyst to support our ongoing mission at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. This role requires an active TS/SCI Clearance.

Requirements

  • 5+ yrs of recent relevant experience support operations.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Knowledge of operations systems (Power BI, MS Planner) and familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  • High School diploma required

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert analytical support to enhance decision-making, improve operational effectiveness, and inform 67 Cyberspace Wing (67 CW) leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Provide expert analytical and assessment capability to identify gaps, investigate means to resolve gaps through technology, innovation, or strategic prioritization, and to ensure that best practices and key technologies are utilized to their maximum potential.
  • Formulate, plan, execute, and communicate the results of short-, medium-, and long-term analytical and technical research projects in accordance with 67 CW leadership direction.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous analytical and technical research projects of varying degrees of difficulty and duration to meet deadlines provided by 67 CW leadership.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate operations, programs, and policies.
  • Develop and apply statistical models, simulations, and optimization techniques to assess performance and improve decision-making.
  • Analyze historical and real-time operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement to gain and maintain an advantage in cyberspace to counter and deter current and emerging global threats in both cyberspace and multi-domain operations.
  • Provide analytical support to senior leaders for strategic planning, wargaming, and force structure analysis.
  • Inform Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) development to assess mission effectiveness.
  • Support the development of risk assessments and mitigation strategies based on analytical findings.
  • Maintain documentation of methodologies, assumptions, and data sources for reproducibility and validation.
  • Present findings in written reports, briefings, and dashboards to key stakeholders.
  • For each analytical research project, formulate a clear problem statement, determine known and unknown parameters or variables, and select appropriate research methodologies and/or models to solve the stated problem.
  • Evaluate the operational data that is currently being captured to provide recommendations as to new data tools, technologies, capabilities and resources that can be leveraged to capture and analyze the data more efficiently to support future research requirements.
  • Fully integrate into wing-wide Operational Assessments (OA) Program planning effort to ensure that plans include a method of assessment, timelines for periodic assessments of the plan’s progress, and a final assessment of the plan’s execution once the planned operation or activity is complete.
  • For each OA, develop an OA approach, develop an OA plan, identify and collect necessary information and intelligence and analyze information and intelligence in order to complete the OA and produce actionable recommendations to meet 67CW strategy and priorities.
  • Communicate OAs to 67 CW leadership and stakeholders involved in assessed operations.
