About The Position

Texas Brine Company, LLC is seeking a Salary Exempt Operations / Project Specialist to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for operations across all facilities, including brine production (solution mining) and underground salt cavern storage. This role will oversee multi-site operational planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and performance to meet production targets, cost goals, and reliability standards. The specialist will ensure full regulatory compliance and champion a zero-incident safety culture and environmental stewardship. Optimization of processes, asset utilization, and infrastructure are key, along with collaboration with engineering and technical teams. The role involves developing and tracking KPIs, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and managing stakeholder relationships, including regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, and communities. Crisis and emergency response leadership is also a critical component.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of plant or process operations experience in brine manufacturing/mining/production.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Executive leadership capability with proven success directing multi-site industrial or chemical manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a strong safety culture, including ownership of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance and zero-incident initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (environmental, safety, permitting, hazardous materials, and asset integrity).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex operational, financial, and performance data to drive sound, data-based decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions in complex, high-risk environments.
  • Strong crisis and emergency response leadership across multiple facilities.
  • Proven people leader with the ability to coach, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented leader with the flexibility to be on call and respond to operational needs as required.
  • Must be able to complete and pass post-offer checks, including, but not limited to, background, drug, references, and education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for operations across all facilities, including brine production (solution mining) and underground salt cavern storage.
  • Oversee multi-site operational planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and performance to meet production targets, cost goals, and reliability standards.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local requirements (environmental, safety, permitting, cavern integrity, and hazardous materials handling).
  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture and environmental stewardship, driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and sustainability programs aligned with Responsible Care®.
  • Optimize processes, asset utilization, and infrastructure across geographically dispersed sites to maximize uptime, brine quality, and customer delivery reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams on cavern development, integrity monitoring, brine quality control, and major infrastructure/expansion projects.
  • Develop and track key operational KPIs, implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean, root cause analysis), and report performance to executive leadership.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, and communities, while leading crisis/emergency response across facilities.
