About The Position
Apple is seeking a forward-thinking Operations Program Manager (OPM) who combines operational leadership with technical expertise in artificial intelligence and software tool development. The role drives end-to-end manufacturing readiness and ramp execution for advanced programs and serves as the AI anchor for the OPM organization. This includes identifying workflow pain points, architecting and building custom AI and automation tools, and helping the broader team use them to improve daily operational efficiency. The position works across engineering, procurement, and supplier partners in complex, fast-changing environments. It includes presenting to large multifunctional teams and executives in weekly meetings, and traveling domestically and internationally to supplier and manufacturing sites as required, primarily in Asia. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Hands-on experience developing and implementing AI and software tools to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance supply chain decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to large multifunctional teams and executives.
- Ability to lead in complex, fast-changing environments and solve multifaceted problems across engineering, procurement, and supplier partners.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally to supplier and manufacturing sites as required, primarily in Asia.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
- 3–5+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, operations program management, supply chain management, or technical project management.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or Data Science, or an MBA with an undergraduate background in engineering or computer science.
- Experience successfully developing and deploying AI/ML models, automation pipelines, or data tools that improved decision-making, capacity modeling, allocation, or yield tracking in supply chain or manufacturing operations.
- Deep understanding of consumer electronics, including NPI (New Product Introduction), SMT/FATP lines, line qualification, capacity planning, and contract manufacturer (CM) management.
