Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers during the presales process.
  • Focus on research, preparation and lead generation.
  • Retain current customers, improve current customer relationships, and obtain referrals from current customers.
  • Grow sales volume and profitability with current customers.
  • Perform regular and accurate reporting to support sales planning and analysis activities.
  • Handle written quotations and negotiations.
  • Record successful processes and procedures required to carry out all functions.
  • Contribute to process improvements.
  • Coordinate daily with supervisor to achieve targeted sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers within assigned area.
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customer needs and interest.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Travel throughout territory to provide technical assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Generate new sales leads and close sales opportunities.
  • Manage accounts and work with customers to bring collection accounts current.
  • Partner with delivery drivers to sell and deliver products.
  • Determine, resolve, and communicate presales issues to management.
  • Deliver batteries when necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
