About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to work with Health Services’ staff and the Electronic Health Records (EHR) vendor to maintain the EHR software product and determine the best way to enhance, update, or modify the software and report tools to meet user needs. In this position, you will conduct comprehensive analysis, planning, and development for the EHR, including routine maintenance to existing system components as well as system modifications. You will work closely with the vendor and be a key point person on the different options available to solve a business challenge. You will be expected to be completely familiar with the details of the system and maintain appropriate system documentation. You will review the different options within the EHR software product and determine the best way to modify the software to meet user needs. Also, evaluate employee needs, business processes, and workflows to determine the best options for enhancements to the EHR system. Must understand how multiple layers of information work together. You will decide the best ways to build reports, create metrics, document processes, identify operational barriers, and locate solutions. These decisions will reduce unplanned downtime and productivity losses. Accurately maintaining and enhancing the system will result in an EHR that supports quality health care, data collection, and continuity of care.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; AND two years professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work.
  • OR Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
  • Current ODOC or OCE regular status employees.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience building reports using tools such as SQL.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience with PowerBI.
  • Experience with Microsoft Report Builder.
  • Experience working with an electronic health record system.
  • Experience building forms or EHR components using clinical forge (Java script).
