About The Position

The Operations Planning Engineer applies engineering principles and experience to support the efficient operation of natural gas pipelines and storage systems, working under the guidance of senior-level engineers. The role supports day-to-day operations across multiple pipeline segments and collaborates with Gas Control, Operations, internal stakeholders, and customers on operational planning and activities. The position reports to the Manager of Operations Planning West. The engineer uses hydraulic pipeline simulation models, historical and operational data, and stakeholder input to assess pipeline capacity and constraints, inform project design and execution, develop operating modes and procedures, analyze risk, identify critical facilities, and create tools to improve capacity and operational efficiency. TC Energy describes a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for eligible office-based employees in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
