About The Position

The Operations Planning Analyst position at Cenovus Energy supports operational safety and efficiency at the Lloydminster Upgrader by managing the complete lifecycle of isolation plan documentation. The position is responsible for coordinating documentation from initial request through final completion, ensuring all records are accurate, compliant with operational standards, and consistently maintained. Key duties include verifying documentation quality, updating posted isolation plans, following up on outstanding items, and providing governance and quality control oversight across all isolation-related processes.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2+ years of operations planning experience in an industrial or operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance workflow processes and operational planning practices.
  • Proficiency with SAP and intermediate-level computer skills in database applications and publishing software, including reports, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating across Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
  • Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adherence to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational work planning activities for routine, turnaround, capital, and maintenance projects at the Lloydminster Upgrader Complex.
  • Support Senior Area Advisors in developing detailed job packages for planned and schedule-breaker work.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of isolation plans, including templates, classifications, updates, and document control governance.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure safe, consistent, and compliant execution of work.
  • Analyze operational data, develop KPIs, and identify recurring issues to support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide quality control oversight to maintain accuracy, consistency, and alignment across all isolation and operational documentation.
