About The Position

The Out-of-Door Academy seeks an Operations Office Coordinator to join a forward-thinking school community that values creativity, collaboration, real-world application, and student learning. Reporting jointly to the Controller and Director of Human Resources, the Operations Office Coordinator provides essential administrative, operational, and organizational support to the School's Business Office and Human Resource functions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • Prior administrative experience required; preferably in an accounting, human resources, payroll, or office environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, financial systems, HR systems, applicant tracking systems, and payroll platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning as a part of a collaborative team.
  • Professional, positive, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Successful completion of a national background screening and drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Business Office and Human Resources teams.
  • Support Business Office operations, including: Assisting with accounts payable and vendor management processes. Supporting fixed asset tracking and recordkeeping. Serving as backup for the preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll.
  • Support Human Resources operations, including: Managing the School's leave request and absence management system. Preparing and posting employment opportunities. Tracking applicants throughout the recruitment process and providing timely communication to candidates. Assisting with other recruitment, onboarding, and employee-related administrative needs as appropriate.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through in all areas of responsibility.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with employees, applicants, families, vendors and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach in supporting the day-to-day operations of the School.
