Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Monitors all operations including but not limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork, communicate freight status and dispatch drivers for pick up.
- Primary interface between Maersk Ground Freight, customers, sales, system operations and vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.
- Provide training, complete performance reviews, and issue disciplinary action when necessary.
- Freight handling via forklift
- Assist District Manager with general tasks
- Responsible for ensuring safe operations as well as compliance with all OSHA regulations, all applicable laws, and Maersk Ground Freight Corporate Policies
- Effectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and morale
- Reviews operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategies
- Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies
- Oversee the warehouse operations including supervising direct reports
- Overseeing all aspects of the Operations Department and employees
- Delegating duties and responsibilities
- Communicating freight status and any problems to custom ers, vendors and other Maersk Ground Freight stations and personnel
- Load/Off-load build trucks for optimal routing
- Responsible for all the stations domestic KPI’s
- Other duties as assigned
