About The Position

The Wasserstrom Company, a leading Food Service Distributor, is seeking an Operations Manager for its Columbus, Ohio location. This role is responsible for ensuring quality installation services for customers that exceed expectations while maintaining profitability. The position involves creating new business strategies, managing labor and expenses, and addressing customer needs. Key responsibilities include overseeing the parcel truck fleet and warehouse operations. The Operations Manager will also perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements

2 year / Associate Degree
5 years in a warehouse leadership role
2 years of supervisory experience
Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook
Technical ability to learn and use a variety of software programs
Ability to analyze data and formulate recommendations based on the analysis
Communicates well with others; speaks and writes clearly; asks for and offers help when needed
Proactively seeks out continuous improvement opportunities
Interpersonal skills; resolves questions and concerns in a professional manner; maintains confidentiality

Responsibilities

Manages the installation of equipment according to Wasserstrom Companies' and customers' specifications.
Acts as the Company representative when interacting with customers, maintaining a positive attitude and striving for customer satisfaction.
Manages field modifications to meet customer and Company standards.
Proactively corrects field repairs and develops innovative job methods to resolve discrepancies.
Develops and maintains trust and respect with co-workers, management, sales associates, and customers to foster a positive environment.
Performs data analysis on financials to identify continuous improvement opportunities and new revenue streams.
Supervises associates within the Installation Department.
Supervises the parcel truck fleet within the Columbus metro area.
Supervises associates in the equipment warehouse.
Plans, assigns, and directs team work, delegating tasks and explaining proper procedures.
Manages budget, labor, and warehouse costs.
Provides training and performance feedback.
Conducts associate check-ins and is responsible for goal and objective achievement.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
Conducts other supervisory tasks as needed.
