About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a growing plumbing services company in the Baton Rouge market. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, revenue growth, team performance, and exceptional customer service while ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, and profitably. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong field service experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in plumbing, HVAC, or home services
  • Strong understanding of service operations, dispatching, and field workflows
  • Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance operational oversight with hands-on leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with service software (e.g., Service Titan or similar) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field operations including scheduling, dispatch, and job completion
  • Monitor KPIs such as revenue, average ticket, job profitability, and technician efficiency
  • Ensure all work is completed to company standards and customer expectations
  • Partner with leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning
  • Lead, coach, and develop technicians, dispatchers, and support staff
  • Conduct ride-alongs, performance reviews, and regular team meetings
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention of top talent
  • Drive accountability and a high-performance culture across the team
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of escalations
  • Monitor service quality and implement improvements as needed
  • Reinforce a customer-first mindset across all roles
  • Manage labor, materials, and operational costs to meet profitability goals
  • Review job costing and gross profit margins
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and increase revenue
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and company safety regulations
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all field and office teams
