About The Position

HF Foods Group, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and oversee seafood distribution operations. This role is responsible for driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering workforce effectiveness. The position involves leading seafood sales and market expansion, managing daily distribution center performance, optimizing inventory and costs, and cultivating a high-performing team culture. Collaboration with cross-functional departments is key to aligning operational strategies with overall business goals and ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability within the seafood division.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be innovative and able to focus, process and implement initiatives
  • Solid understanding of financial management
  • Ability to work with all levels of company staff
  • Have a strong rapport with business and functional leaders
  • Must be able to travel extensively within the US. This may consist of driving and flying

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales to expand seafood distribution, develop key accounts, and identify new market opportunities.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, vendors, and major customers to drive revenue and ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with Procurement on inventory, turnover, and shrinkage reduction.
  • Contribute to pricing, promotions, and marketing strategies to strengthen competitiveness and market share.
  • Develop and execute DC policies, procedures, and operational goals aligned with company strategy.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze performance metrics to drive efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets, labor, and inventory to optimize operational performance.
  • Lead workforce planning, staffing, and scheduling to meet business needs.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and safety programs.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage employee relations, including coaching and corrective actions.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture emphasizing accountability, service excellence, and teamwork.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Sales) to align DC operations with business goals.
  • Support corporate programs, strategic initiatives, and leadership directives as assigned.
