The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all associates understand and use safe work practices, completing safety observations, determining daily workload based on corporate directives, and monitoring inventory movements. This role evaluates staffing needs to meet daily demand, reassigns associates to optimize shift work, and collaborates with Operations Supervisors to achieve key performance indicators, safety, performance, and budget targets. The Operations Manager also manages inbound truck schedules, expedites priority product receiving, picking, and shipping, and resolves warehouse management system and inventory discrepancies. Effective communication with associates and Performance Instructors regarding business objectives and issues is crucial. This role works through Operations Supervisors to foster an environment of engagement and inclusion, identifies and implements process improvements, and may travel to other facilities to assist. Additionally, the Operations Manager assists associates with HR-related issues, participates in hiring, sets goals, provides feedback, monitors performance, provides resources and support, assists supervisors with management-level resolutions, and offers coaching and developmental opportunities to prepare associates for upward promotion.
