WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE: Provide leadership and performance management for the production supervisors and manufacturing team to ensure that resources needed are adequate to meet key requirements related to safety, service levels, cost, and productivity. Drive efficiency and work with cross functional departments to achieve results Create a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making. Responsible for assuring strategic plans are in place for talent acquisition, employee development and performance management. Develop open lines of communication to continually monitor employee attitudes and concerns, and implement appropriate actions with input from Human Resources. Track daily performance; verify team leader counter measures and recovery plans are utilized for missed targets Recommend and implement changes regarding production capability, tooling, machine replacement and staffing in support of production plans as well as cost-effective procedures, systems, tooling, equipment, etc., to continually improve manufacturing productivity. Participate, monitor and maintain departmental budget -- both expense and capital. Drive nVent culture ensuring our values are being deployed. Be highly visible to associates and create an environment for participation. Promote hands-on approach to problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is a must.
  • Ideally 5 years' experience in manufacturing operations or distribution environment.
  • Ideally 3 years' experience in a leadership position.
  • Prior experience in a Lean environment preferred.
