About The Position

This role supports contingent workforce initiatives and related staffing efforts. The Operations Manager will serve as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted support effort, acting as the primary contractor interface and point of contact for government program authorities on technical, program, and project matters. The position involves overseeing the execution of contract requirements, deliverables, staffing, reporting, and performance expectations, as well as managing the acquisition and employment of program and project resources to meet mission needs. Key duties include coordinating team priorities, task assignments, schedules, action items, and deliverable status, while monitoring contract performance and proactively identifying risks. The role also requires supporting program reviews, leadership meetings, status briefings, and contractor-government coordination sessions, ensuring all work products are accurate, timely, professional, and aligned with government direction. Maintaining communication across various program management, acquisition, financial, logistics, technical, and administrative teams is crucial, as is providing leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to assigned contractor personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree or MA/MS degree in a relevant discipline and Active Secret security clearance.
  • Over 10 years of experience performing duties similar to the functional description.
  • 5 years of experience supporting Naval Aviation or comparable DoW acquisition programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with government, military, and contractor stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional briefs, reports, and correspondence.
