Operations Manager - Furniture Delivery

About The Position

The Operations Manager assists the General Manager in executing the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit. The role leads safe work practices and lean management of transportation and delivery operations, and works closely with the team to ensure accountability for inbound and outbound logistics. The position reports to the General Manager. Spanish speaking is preferred.

Requirements

Ability to work flexible schedules or shifts.
Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move boxes weighing up to 70 pounds each.
Ability to move up and down stairs.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers).

Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
Direct the employee assessment process.
Prepare regular reports for upper management.
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
Provide solutions to issues such as declining profit, employee conflicts, and loss of business to competitors.
