About The Position

Williams-Sonoma is seeking an experienced Bilingual Operations Manager for its Distribution Center in Litchfield Park, AZ. This role is crucial for driving performance, developing talent, and ensuring the operation effectively responds to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced distribution environment. The Operations Manager will be responsible for results across safety, service, productivity, quality, and inventory accuracy, maintaining strong execution and team alignment in a high-volume setting. The position requires a leader who can own key operational areas, build capable teams, and uphold high standards of performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, and 3 - 5 years of relevant distribution or manufacturing management/leadership experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 6-8 years of progressively responsible distribution leadership experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in cost control and operational efficiency
  • Ability to lead and coach an hourly employee team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Must be highly organized and process oriented with the ability to complete tasks on time
  • Ability to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirements
  • Strong technical skills required, but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge and execution of Final-mile delivery models, including white-glove service and same-day or multi-day delivery routing
  • Exposure to furniture manufacturing, distribution and/or big box distribution
  • Final Mile Transportation carrier contract negotiations or procurement experience
  • Expert understanding of Safety and OSHA standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams by setting clear expectations, coaching consistently, and reinforcing accountability.
  • Create a culture of urgency, ownership, discipline, and pride in execution.
  • Develop team leads and emerging talent to strengthen the leadership bench.
  • Own key areas of the floor, ensuring labor, staffing, and workflow meet daily and peak volume demands.
  • Translate operational priorities into action and maintain strong execution throughout the shift.
  • Monitor productivity, workflow, and service performance, taking immediate action to address gaps and remove obstacles.
  • Support strong shift handoffs, operational continuity, and consistent execution across functions.
  • Ensure a fast, efficient distribution operation with strong control across inbound, outbound, inventory, and dock activity.
  • Use operational data, WMS systems, and real-time observations to make sound decisions and improve performance.
  • Lead with discipline around process adherence, inventory accuracy, and throughput.
  • Think critically in a live operational environment and respond quickly to shifting priorities and challenges.
  • Lead from the front on safety, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Reinforce a culture where safe behaviors, quality execution, and operational discipline are non-negotiable.
  • Partner with site leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company expectations.
  • Hold teams accountable for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-run operation.
  • Challenge the status quo, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive measurable gains in productivity, quality, and service.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen execution and improve scalability.
  • Solve problems with a practical, progressive mindset by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Help the operation scale up or down quickly as business conditions, labor needs, and seasonal demand shift.
  • Work closely with the Assistant General Manager and site leadership team to execute business priorities and drive performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external providers to ensure alignment and strong execution.
  • Support a one-team mindset that keeps the operation focused on service, quality, and customer outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with third-party delivery providers to maintain contractual standards.
