About The Position

As an Operations Manager at Openwork, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our branch running smoothly while leading and developing a team of recruiters. This is a true player–coach role where you’ll manage your own recruiting desk while also coaching others, driving performance, and ensuring exceptional service delivery for both talent and clients. In this role, you’ll also serve as a key client-facing partner for our large manufacturing client, supporting day-to-day workforce needs while also stepping into more strategic conversations around staffing, performance, and workforce planning. You’ll balance hands-on execution with higher-level account management to ensure strong service delivery and long-term partnership success.

  • Confident in client-facing conversations, especially in manufacturing or high-volume staffing environments
  • Skilled at influencing, coaching, and motivating a team to perform at a high level

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong in process execution
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop recruiters to ensure team KPIs and performance goals are consistently met
  • Manage your own recruiting desk, driving weekly GP and delivering high-quality placements
  • Serve as a client-facing partner for a large manufacturing account, supporting workforce needs, resolving escalations, and maintaining strong day-to-day communication
  • Participate in strategic client discussions, including QBRs, performance reviews, and workforce planning conversations
  • Optimize recruiting operations, processes, and workflows for efficiency, compliance, and scalability
  • Partner closely with recruiters to ensure alignment on client needs and delivery expectations
  • Build and maintain a positive, high-performance team culture grounded in Openwork values
  • Track, analyze, and communicate team and branch performance to the Market Manager
