About The Position

This role is for an Operations Manager at Prysmian, a global leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry. The manager will lead both production and maintenance functions within the facility, ensuring alignment between manufacturing output and equipment reliability. This position is critical in driving operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the plant. The Operations Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a high-performance environment focused on safety, quality, and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field
  • 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance in an industrial setting
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong understanding of production operations and equipment reliability
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and process improvements
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and CMMS platforms
  • Experience in cable, wire, or similar industrial manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production teams to ensure the efficient execution of manufacturing schedules.
  • Optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization to meet production targets.
  • Analyze production data and drive performance improvements.
  • Coach and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Direct equipment installation, commissioning, and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and lifecycle.
  • Align maintenance schedules with production priorities to minimize disruption.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure strong coordination between production scheduling and maintenance execution.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across teams.
  • Enforce policies and procedures consistently.
