About The Position

The Operations Manager will lead both production and maintenance functions within a facility, ensuring alignment between manufacturing output and equipment reliability. This role is critical for driving operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement. The Operations Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a high-performance environment focused on safety, quality, and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field
  • 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance in an industrial setting
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong understanding of production operations and equipment reliability
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and process improvements
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and CMMS platforms
  • Experience in cable, wire, or similar industrial manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production teams to ensure the efficient execution of manufacturing schedules.
  • Optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization to meet production targets.
  • Analyze production data and drive performance improvements.
  • Coach and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Direct equipment installation, commissioning, and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and lifecycle.
  • Align maintenance schedules with production priorities to minimize disruption.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure strong coordination between production scheduling and maintenance execution.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety culture across teams.
  • Enforce policies and procedures consistently.
