About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing various aspects of operations, including customer service, inventory management, report review, and personnel supervision. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring parts availability, managing inventory levels, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The Operations Manager will also be involved in training, hiring, and disciplinary actions, as well as site visits and communication between different levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 2 years Auto and/or HD Parts experience
  • 2 years Inventory Experience
  • 2 years Computer Experience
  • 24-hour Availability
  • Valid Driver’s License with 2 years driving experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service, including administration of contracts, assessing client and customer issues, and assisting with parts availability through transfer processes.
  • Review and understand Approved Commodities List, Policy & Procedures Manuals.
  • Research parts procurement, vendor pricing, and order placement.
  • Ensure correct items are procured and respond to messages in a timely fashion.
  • Review requisition forms for compliance with P&P requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze Service Level Reports and purchases for compliance and best pricing.
  • Provide training as required.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and levels through report review, cyclic counts, and wall-to-wall inventories.
  • Perform inventory adjustments, review min/max levels, stock sources, and primary vendor requirements.
  • Discuss future requirements with customer representatives and review sales to ensure stocking requirements are met.
  • Monitor processing of vendor invoices and customer invoicing paperwork.
  • Generate and review various reports using Microsoft Dynamics NAV system, including SLA failures, accounting issues, and credit card purchases.
  • Review and submit monthly reconcile difference reports.
  • Perform monthly site visits and report to the Regional Manager.
  • Review and submit timesheets, monitor customer emergency overtime.
  • Investigate and resolve personnel issues, including hiring and termination.
  • Complete and submit new hire paperwork, provide orientation and training.
  • Assist with deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Provide 24-hour support to the customer.
  • Investigate product complaints.
  • Supervise all district employees and monitor job description activities.
  • Assist with project research and provide findings.
  • Attend meetings with contractor and/or Customer as required.
  • Document and administer discipline in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Assist store managers as needed.
  • Disperse communications between customer corporate and district employees.
