About The Position

This role is the heartbeat of the local branch, leading a dedicated team of drivers, technicians, and supervisors. The Operations Manager ensures routes run efficiently, customers remain satisfied, and the team returns home safely. It's a dynamic role where problem-solving on the fly and direct leadership impact on the community are key.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of operational management experience, preferably in waste management, logistics, transportation, or a similarly fast-paced, rugged industry.
  • Proven ability to earn respect on the shop floor and present clearly in the boardroom.
  • Management style characterized by empathy, clarity, and accountability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
  • Comfort with fleet routing software, GPS tracking systems, and the standard Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Deep understanding of DOT regulations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of route supervisors and drivers, fostering a winning culture.
  • Optimize routes and fleet deployment for maximum efficiency.
  • Champion safety protocols, including DOT compliance and leading safety meetings.
  • Manage the operational budget (P&L) to reduce costs while maintaining high service levels.
  • Address complex logistical challenges to ensure client satisfaction.
