About The Position

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of Classic Rock's Pittsburgh location. This position provides leadership for the design center, office, and field teams to ensure alignment with company goals, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, natural stone procurement, team development, process improvement, and strategic initiatives that drive revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant leadership or operations management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing teams, improving operational processes, and driving performance.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and customer-facing technologies.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical documents effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate ratios, percentages, and interpret operational data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the stone, construction materials, manufacturing, or interior design industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the Pittsburgh location in alignment with company goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance, the Executive Vice President, and President/CEO to develop budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and growth strategies.
  • Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities using Theory of Constraints and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Participate in daily buffer meetings to support production planning and scheduling.
  • Schedule Pittsburgh installation jobs and forklift rentals to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and best practices in partnership with the VP of HR & Safety and Field teams.
  • Oversee the Pittsburgh remake process, ensuring After Action Reviews (AARs) are completed within 24 hours and remakes are scheduled and communicated promptly to dealers.
  • Drive improvements in quality, efficiency, cost control, accuracy, and safety across design center and field operations.
  • Monitor daily production goals, KPIs, and overall team performance.
  • Support Install teams through daily huddles, workflow coordination, and management of safety supplies.
  • Coordinate with the Fleet Coordinator to ensure timely vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Supervise and support the Pittsburgh Design Center team.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and 90-day reviews.
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, continuous learning, and Classic Rock's Core Values.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Design Center Manager to ensure exceptional showroom operations, material coordination, and customer service.
  • Ensure showroom presentation and brand standards are consistently maintained.
  • Verify slab inventory photos remain current by identifying missing images and coordinating timely updates.
