About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Motive Offshore LLC, working to ensure that projects and operations are planned and executed safely and to the highest of standards, with Client schedules adhered to and specifications met. The Operations Manager will analyse operational performance with the aim to identify and implement operational processes that improve performance and efficiency across the business. You’ll have the opportunity to take real ownership of day-to-day operations within Motive LLC, playing a key role in how projects are planned, delivered and improved. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, with the scope to make a real impact on operational performance, introduce improvements and support the continued growth of Motive in the US. As a key member of our Motive LLC team, you’ll play a central role in supporting the success of our operations and driving the continued growth of the business. Your contributions will help ensure our projects, people and resources are managed safely and effectively, while maintaining the high standards of service our clients expect. With a focus on operational delivery, you’ll work closely with teams across the business to support performance, efficiency and an exceptional service for our clients. Requirements

  • Proven operational management experience within the offshore services, subsea, equipment rental or related energy sector.
  • Strong leadership and people management capability, with experience developing teams and driving accountability and performance.
  • Strong understanding of offshore operations, equipment readiness, mobilisation and resource planning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple and changing priorities while maintaining a high standard of operational delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing and improving operational processes and systems.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of budgets, operational costs and financial performance.
  • Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a growing business, manage multiple priorities and work across a broad range of operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Adopting and promoting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
  • Provide leadership and effective performance management for direct reports and the wider Operations team, fostering accountability, professionalism and a positive performance culture.
  • Provide regular updates to the Regional Director – Americas on operational performance, resource requirements, risks and key performance metrics.
  • Assist fellow members of the regional team with any technical requirements relating to their respective enquiries/opportunities.
  • Lead and support in the recruitment and retention of operational personnel.
  • Attend Client meetings to discuss technical and commercial related matters, reporting on project updates to the Client.
  • Support Sales team when necessary.
  • Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – Clients, colleagues, third party’s.
  • To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
  • Adhere to and promote Motive's sustainability initiatives, contributing to Net Zero objectives.
  • Drive sustainable operational practices across LLC, identifying opportunities to reduce waste, energy consumption, emissions and unnecessary resource use.
  • Promote efficient utilisation, maintenance and lifecycle management of equipment and assets to maximise asset life and minimise environmental impact.
  • Consider environmental and sustainability impacts when planning operational activities, mobilisations, logistics and procurement.
  • Provide operational leadership across both Rentals and TIC/service activities, ensuring consistent standards, processes and ways of working across Motive Offshore LLC.
  • Lead operational planning and execution, ensuring resources, personnel, equipment and facilities are effectively coordinated to meet business and project requirements.
  • Drive and implement process improvements to maximise operational efficiency and effectiveness, embedding consistent processes, systems and standards across LLC.
  • Responsible for the production, procurement and planning of operations ensuring that resources and assets are secured in order to meet the Client scope of work.
  • Maintain overall oversight of operational and asset readiness across both Rentals and TIC/service activities, ensuring equipment is appropriately maintained, prepared, tested, certified and available to meet operational and mobilisation requirements.
  • Work closely with the respective Project Managers to ensure the operational requirements necessary to support successful project delivery are identified, planned and delivered, including personnel, equipment readiness, mobilisation and other operational resources.
  • Ensures operations are planned accordingly to meet mobilisation dates and Client's requirements.
  • Communicates with all relevant employees to ensure delivery dates are understood and adhered to.
  • Plan, schedule and review workload, manpower and resource requirements across Rentals and TIC/service activities to ensure effective utilisation and successful operational delivery.
  • Oversee the effective operation, maintenance and upkeep of the LLC base and facilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and suitable to support operational requirements.
  • Coordinate and support in the preparation of sales enquiries ensuring that internal Sales system is updated and accurate.
  • Arrangement of personnel / field personnel travel.
  • Support the identification, preparation and raising of CAPEX requests, and oversee the effective management and delivery of approved CAPEX requirements in line with Company processes and budgets.
  • Purchase materials and services as required and in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA).
  • Tracks utilisation of equipment and personnel in asset tracking software.
  • Tracks and reports Regional HSEQ KPI’s on a monthly basis in line with company requirements
  • Attend Client meetings as required.
  • Liaise with Third Party’s to ensure full compliance with the project requirements.
  • Support budget planning and maintain appropriate oversight of operational expenditure and cost control, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in and ensure safe systems of work (e.g. Work methods and risk assessments) are in place and understood.
