About The Position

BlueLinx is looking for an Operations Manager to lead the daily business operations of our local branch. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong relationships, leading experienced teams, and driving operational excellence across departments. BlueLinx is a leading wholesale distributor of building and industrial products with over 70,000 branded and private-label SKUs. Headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, we have over 2,000 associates and distribute our comprehensive range of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 national, regional, and local dealers, as well as specialty distributors, national home centers, industrial, and manufactured housing customers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in distribution/warehouse operations
• Strong leadership skills—ability to engage employees and set clear goals.
• Expertise in process improvement, problem-solving, and efficiency optimization.
• Customer-centric mindset—ensuring timely, safe, and accurate order fulfillment.

• Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of DOT CDL Drivers, Administrative Support, Material Handlers, and Sales Associates within an assigned geographic area.
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with all DOT regulations and federal, state, and local laws.
• Drive operational efficiency—from inventory management to customer service excellence.
• Foster collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless delivery of products.
• Lead hiring, coaching, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
• Manage expenses, logistics, and workforce planning for optimal productivity.
