About The Position

Verde is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations for assigned customer accounts and locations. This role involves leading and developing operational teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and acting as the operational connection between site teams, customers, and Account Directors. The position requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving, coaching, and relationship building, with a focus on balancing people, performance, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and financial results. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive operations experience in janitorial, facilities, environmental services, manufacturing support, or a related industry.
  • 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing multiple locations, customer accounts, or operational teams.
  • Working knowledge of workforce planning, labor utilization, quality management, and operating expense control.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and turn information into action.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies, customer requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

  • Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call response to operational or safety issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, Environmental Services, or a related field.
  • Experience in GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, regulatory compliance, and safety programs.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with workforce management, scheduling, reporting, or electronic performance management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and service delivery across assigned accounts and locations.
  • Lead teams to consistently meet Verde's service, quality, safety, and customer expectations.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and respond quickly to operational needs.
  • Support customer audits, assessments, business reviews, and operational inspections.
  • Make informed day-to-day decisions within company policies and delegated authority.
  • Escalate significant financial, personnel, customer, safety, quality, and compliance matters when needed.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold supervisors and operational team members accountable.
  • Build teams where people feel supported, respected, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, labor allocation, and workforce needs.

  • Implement process improvements and share successful practices across locations.
  • Support the rollout of new programs, processes, technologies, and operational initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Verde, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Conduct site visits, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Identify hazards and make sure corrective actions are completed.
  • Support timely reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Partner with EHS and site leadership to reduce operational risk.
  • Reinforce proper PPE use, safe work practices, chemical handling, and equipment requirements.
  • Support emergency preparedness, drills, and incident response.
  • Encourage employees to participate in safety programs and report hazards and good catches.
  • Build a culture where supervisors and team members take ownership of safety.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when an immediate safety risk is identified.
  • Champion environmentally responsible cleaning practices.
  • Promote practices that support healthy indoor air quality.
  • Train and coach supervisors and employees on green-cleaning practices.
  • Support customer-specific sustainability and environmental initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, water, and chemical use.
  • Maintain working knowledge of green-cleaning standards and certifications.
  • Help teams understand how their everyday decisions contribute to a more sustainable operation.
