About The Position

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Operations Manager for our Cleveland, Ohio manufacturing headquarters. The Operations Manager will play a key role in helping direct and coordinate manufacturing activities within our Welding Machine Division. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience in electronics manufacturing; technical or Engineering degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of management or supervisory experience and/or some supervisory training required.
  • 5+ years of experience within the electronics manufacturing field
  • Able to communicate and deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong machining background required, including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer focus with an uncompromising attitude toward safety, environment, health, and quality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent leadership, organizational, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to handle employee and production issues in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ability to initiate and implement change while gaining acceptance from employees.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, MES, SAP, and Apriso/similar systems.

  • Prior accounting/budgeting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate activities within a machining production department through core team members as well as manage extended team members from cross functional departments within the organization.
  • Utilize your experience to help develop, and continually improve processes using root cause analysis, while promoting safe work practices, and environmental performance within the department.
  • Drive attainment of departmental goals and metrics; ensure that quality product is manufactured within department.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify staffing needs meet customer and production requirements and continually improve flexibility of this workforce.
  • Monitor and analyze costs to maximize the profitability of departmental operations.
  • Support development current and future machining strategies.
  • Conduct departmental performance ratings.
