As an Operations Manager Trainee (internally referred to as our Leader in Training), your goal is to master people management out in the field. This is a hands-on Management Trainee track designed to teach you operations from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate (up to one year post-graduation).
  • Ability to commit to a structured, immersive one-year program running from June to May.
  • An outgoing, personable attitude with a clear goal of pursuing field operations management rather than finance or data analytics.
  • Willingness to work in a highly physical role in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Adaptable to changing schedules, including early mornings, nights, and occasional weekend rotations.
  • Strong people skills, verbal communication, and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and conduct crew management, schedule work and employees, review timesheets, and manage jobs across educational, corporate, and industrial sites.
  • Build credibility by working alongside frontline staff in janitorial, landscaping, and specialty services (mowing, cleaning, and equipment operation).
  • Gain experience interviewing, onboarding, and coaching frontline staff while managing retention and engagement strategies.
  • Conduct site audits to inspect field work for quality, safety compliance, and completion.
  • Rotate through sales, customer relations, and budget management to build a well-rounded executive foundation.
