About The Position

The Operations Manager – Service Shop (Warranty) oversees warranty operations within a transportation service environment, ensuring accurate claims processing, compliance with manufacturer policies, and efficient service delivery. This role coordinates between service teams, vendors, and manufacturers to maximize warranty recovery while maintaining high standards of quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 1 year experience supervising employees in heavy duty truck and trailer or equivalent maintenance experience OR Associate's Degree in Business or related field and 2 years experience supervising employees in heavy duty truck and trailer or equivalent maintenance experience OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Refurb/Service Shop Area Manager OR Diesel, automotive or heavy equipment maintenance technical certifications (e.g. ASE, Air Conditioning, DOT Brake, DOT Preventative Maintenance); and 2 years supervising employees in heavy duty truck and trailer or equivalent maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Leading warranty operations through partnership, working directly with Equipment OEs and internal teams to establish best practices that improve recovery, compliance, and asset reliability
  • Enabling and empowering field associates by developing standard work, training, and clear warranty guidance that integrates seamlessly into shop operations
  • Owning warranty schedules and execution, ensuring coverage is understood, applied consistently, and supported across service locations
  • Identifying opportunities and drive corrective actions using warranty data, field feedback, and root‑cause analysis to reduce repeat failures and improve outcomes
