The Operations Manager - Manufacturing is responsible for directing and coordinating the Quality, Facilities, Contracts, Customer Service, Purchasing. This position serves as a member of the management team and such committees as assigned by taking an active role in the development of policies, procedures, goals, and objectives of BlackHawk Industrial.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient with applicable computer systems and software
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 7 years’ experience in a similar position preferred

Responsibilities

  • Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associates consistent with Core Behaviors
  • Responsible for promoting culture of safety
  • Administrates company policies in a fair and equitable manner. Has the authority and responsibility for understanding, communicating and implementing all policies of the company. Supports management decisions. Focuses on what is good for organization and customer.
  • Oversees that customer service personnel maintain customer goodwill.
  • Oversees the follow up on all instances of customer dissatisfaction.
  • Oversees and handles complex customer service problems.
  • Analyzes, reviews and establishes relations with vendors in conjunction with top management.
  • Oversees the thorough and timely input of purchasing related input to the computer data base.
  • Oversees the TQM Process and is the Management Representative of the TQM process, and is also a Quality Facilitator.
  • Conducts regular department meetings to communicate information to include: workloads, schedules, problems, etc. Participates in monthly management/supervisor meetings and relays pertinent information to department personnel.
