About The Position

VIATechnik is redefining how construction teams collaborate, coordinate, and deliver. As the Operations Manager for their Electrical BIM Studio, this role is critical in shaping how global teams operate and how clients succeed. This is not a back-office operations role; the position is at the center of delivery, performance, and innovation, driving the systems and workflows that turn BIM into real-world impact. The role focuses on leading initiatives to improve how work gets done across the Electrical BIM Studio, ensuring teams consistently deliver high-quality results faster, smarter, and more efficiently.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working with electrical subcontractors in various aspects of business, including project management, field construction, business accounting and contracts, and utilizing KPIs to manage the team OR working with a general contractor managing electrical trades.
  • Management-level experience within the construction industry leading a team of 5-7 people.
  • Knowledge of lean construction, Agile, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with managing direct reports and their professional development.
  • Experience generating estimates and budgets for potential project opportunities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of drawing production standards for fabrication, including conduit/raceway layout, bill of materials, panel schedules, and layout drawings.
  • Broad knowledge of VDC standards within the electrical construction industry.
  • US work authorization is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefabrication knowledge in electrical assemblies.
  • Understanding of common software used within VDC such as Revit, ACC, and Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud and services.
  • Knowledge of some Revit-based plugins for spooling/prefab such as EvolveMEP.
  • Strong knowledge of software and technology related to the electrical contracting industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical building systems, including design, fabrication, and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize workflows that improve team efficiency and delivery speed.
  • Standardize processes to ensure consistent, high-quality BIM outputs.
  • Partner with technical leaders to align tools, systems, and delivery methods.
  • Translate BIM deliverables into measurable client value (cost, safety, coordination).
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions across global teams.
  • Collaborate with team members across the U.S., Philippines, India, and Poland.
  • Identify personnel needs and work with the recruitment team to develop a scalable and structured team to meet growing business needs.
  • Manage various operational teams and create strong collaboration processes between the teams.
  • Pilot new tools and operational improvements to elevate performance.
